Plane Crash Kills One
Bowie, Maryland (Oct. 13, 1998) -- A traffic plane crashed into a house in this Washington, D.C. suburb in heavy fog early this morning.
The pilot of the Cessna single-engine plane was killed. The traffic reporter, pulled from the wreckage by bystanders, was taken to Prince George's Trauma Center and later transferred to the MedStar Burn Unit at Washington Hospital Center suffering massive burns.
The two women inside the house at the time of the crash were not injured. The plane was attempting to land at an airport behind the home until the weather cleared.
