Comments: Going into situations Mole would always give me the incourgement of getting though. When arriving on the fire grounds the first one i would see when any unit form one was responding was Mole, jumping out the fire truck with tools in hand. I would say "What's up Mole" and he would give me that "eye" look witch was special to me. Even though I only knew Mole for a short while i saw Mole as a friend, brother, and much more than words came explain. I never got the chance to tell him that but i know deep down within my heart that he knows and understands. I never ever thought once about the true feeling that we shared. The last incounterment with Mole, was at station one where they had no lights but Mole being Mole decides to do the smart thing Eat,Eat, and Eat...... His point of view was gotta eat it before it goes bad. He had to atleast eat three bowls of Ice-Cream, and who knows what else?????? Mole was a true inspiration to me and Truely I will miss him for now and for ever more. With crying eyes i say "Mole I Love you and I will Miss YOU".

Comments: I only knew Jared for a few weeks, we took Instructor I and II together this summer, but it doesn't take long to recognize a good guy when you meet one. I was always impressed with Jared's humble demeanor, and his quiet ways. Two traits not necessiarly found in today's fire service and especially in the younger members. So rest in peace brother, and to all those still grieving over his untimely departure, remember all the good times you shared with Jared, and that time will heal all wounds.

We cannot hope to understand the sorrow you are going through, but know that there is a long list of friends that are here for you to help you go through each day and years to come. From reading the thoughts of all of Jared's co-workers and friends in the fire fighting community, he was loved and well thought of. Comments: There are no words that will take away the heart wrenching pain that this young man's mother is feeling and, although I do not know this family, I offer my prayers for all of them. I cannot imagine the anguish and sorrow nor can I begin to fathom the journey to healing that has to and will occur; all with God's merciful grace. We think of children as being ours but we are sometimes reminded that God only lends them to us and sometimes He wants them back before we are ready to give them. But, always remember that your son's name is written in the palm of God's hand.

Comments: To Jared’s family, closest friends, and all those who ever knew this young man, my thoughts are with you all. Even though I am many miles away, my heart, mind and soul are right there in the small community of Amherst & Souhegan. I was a distant friend of Jared’s for many years, but it wasn’t until recently that I began to appreciate his character and his presence. Even though we lack his physical presence today, he will never ever be forgotten. If anything, he will be so deeply engraved in all of our hearts from here to eternity. Deepest Sympathies

Comments: My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hufft family during this tremendously difficult time. I would like to offer my thoughts as well as reiterate the thoughts of so many ...it was an absolute joy playing beside Jared on the football field, from our pop warner days through high school, and an honor being a captain beside him our senior year. The memories I have engrained in my mind and heart, of Jared, will forever bring a smile to my face. Such was the case last night when I watched some football video of our days at Souhegan, and ol' #71 making incredible shoe string tackles on guys three times his size...what a player, what a role model, what a tremendous person. I am confident that Jared's family, too, will dawn a smile when such memories of "Huffty" come to mind.

Comments: Keeping in context with the condolences, my deepest sympathies and prayers to the Hufft family. It was a privilege running with your son. He was a good firefighter and fun person to be around. My parting memories of him will be of a routine fire one evening, and taking the truck out late driving around the battalion on another. After the fire, I took a picture of the crew taking up. I've carried a camera in my gear for awhile but usually forget about it, except for that evening, when I felt led to take a picture of everyone. Looking at it now, seeing him smiling, joking, is a nice lasting memory. To the family, and live-in members, I leave you this, "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast." Amen.

I watched them become a family when my son was a live-in, and I saw how much they loved and trusted each other in the way the brotherhood of firefighters does.
