HOUSE AND RUNNING RULES
All personnel shall conduct themselves in an orderly and respectable manner. Members shall treat all others with respect and refrain from the use of abusive language.
Personnel shall treat all department or personal property so as to avoid abuse or damage. Any willful destruction, theft or damage will be grounds for disciplinary action.
No food or drinks are permitted on the second floor of the station.
All personnel are required to clean up after themselves. This includes throwing away trash, washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen, and bathrooms. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
All personnel shall make every reasonable effort to maintain building security at all times.
No horseplay is permitted in the station. No throwing of footballs, basketballs, or any other objects is permitted in the station.
The upstairs study room is a twenty four hour quiet room. Any member disturbing or disrupting members trying to study in this area will be subject to disciplinary action.
All members under the age of eighteen are required to leave the station by 2200 hours on school nights. The only exception to this rule is if the member has responded on a call prior to 2200 hours and the call runs past the curfew.
Smoking in the firehouse is prohibited with the exception of the apparatus bays.
Live-in members will be assigned a gear rack in the apparatus bay. Non-live in members will be assigned a locker, if available and will place their gear inside their locker after leaving the firehouse for the night.
Any personnel failing to conduct themselves in an orderly manner in compliance with the above and normal standards of good conduct will be subject to immediate disciplinary action by the officer in charge, as outlined in the disciplinary action section of this manual.
