On the 19th, at 1229 hours Truck 1 was dispatched to 7408 17th Ave in Co. 34’s first due for the house fire. Engine 343 arrived with light smoke showing. Truck 1 arrived quickly thereafter and began its searches. The fire was contained a few kitchen cabinets and a wall. Searches were negative and Truck 1 opened up and set up fans. Truck 1 cleared at 1316 hours.
On the 18th, at 0953 hours Truck 1 was dispatched to 2108 Saranac St in Co. 34’s first due for the house fire. Engine 343 arrived to find heavy smoke showing from a 1 story house. Crews found a dishwasher on fire in the kitchen with extension to the walls and cabinets. The Truck opened up and searches came up negative. Truck 1 cleared at 1136 hours.
On the 17th, at 0858 hours Truck 1 was dispatched to 3808 32nd Ave in Co. 55’s first due for the house fire. Truck 1 arrived with Engine 551 to find light smoke showing. After further investigation the Truck crew found a large pile of garbage on fire in a bedroom. The fire was knocked quick and the searches and extension came up negative. Truck 1 cleared at 1009 hours.
On the 15th, at 0033 hours Truck 1 was dispatched on the 2nd alarm to 8661 Greenbelt Rd in Co 48’s first due. Truck 1 initially staged and then was bought into the fire ground to help with opening up and roof operations. The interior crew opened up the fire apartment and adjacent apartment, finding numerous hot spots, while the driver and tiller man went to the roof. While on the roof the Truck crew extended the holes that Truck 14 made due to hidden pockets of fire between the multiple layers of the roof. Truck 1 remained on scene until 0230 hours helping with overhaul.
