With the Engine out of service, Truck 1 was alerted for the first due house fire at 1141 hours in the area of 38th Ave and Kennedy St. Truck 1 went enroute with 6 and arrived with smoke showing from side Charlie of a 1 ½ story house. The inside crew forced entry and performed searches, locating the fire in a rear bedroom and finding both primary and secondary searches negative. The outside crew threw 4 ground ladders, vented windows, and then went to the roof to open up. All units returned to service at 1350 hours.
