At 1850 hours, Truck 1 was dispatched to 5023 Riverdale Rd for the apartment fire. Engine 72 arrived with nothing evident while Truck 1 took position on side Alpha. After further investigation Engine 72 and Truck 1 found a small kitchen fire on the first floor with a heavy smoke condition. The fire was contained to the cabinets and ceiling, and the searches were negative. Truck 1 remained on scene with Truck 9 for ventilation of the high-rise.
