On August 3rd, at 0219 hours, Engine 12 was dispatched for a shooting with Hyattsville City PD at 5902 31st Ave. Units staged until the scene was secure by PD. One patient was shot twice in the back and was packaged by units on scene and transported to the trauma center. Engine 12 cleared at 0312hrs. Following the shooting and as the day continued, units from Company 1 responded on numerous calls including 3 box alarms, 2 street alarms, and six wrecks totally 20 calls in less than 20hrs.

On July 29th, at 0053 hours, Engine 12 and Ambulance 19 responded to 3129 Queens Chapel Rd for a shooting. After staging for a few minutes, units entered the scene after the police cleared the area to find a male shot twice; once in the chest and once in the shoulder. The Engine crew assisted with packaging the patient and the medics transported. Units from 1 cleared at 0142 hours.
