Around 2340 hours, the Engine was pulled off a MVC and requested by communications to respond to 6800 Highview Terrace for a reported fire. The Engine responded from the scene of the wreck with 6 and the Truck with 4 from the firehouse to the address.

The Truck arrived on scene with smoke showing from side A. The Engine pulled the 250' and contained the fire to the kitchen of the apartment. The fire was under control in 10 minutes and the incident was scaled back in 15 minutes.

The Truck crew performed searches which proved negative, as well as controlled utilities, and ventilated and laddered the building while the Engine crew mopped up and checked for extension. Both units cleared after midnight.
