Around 0600 hours, PSC alerted units in the 4th Battalion for a house on fire in the neighborhood behind Company 1. Reserve Engine 11, Truck 1, and Chief 1 went en route with 14 volunteers. Reserve Engine 11 and Chief 1 investigated while other units staged as PSC gave updated information on multiple addresses.

While investigating, Reserve Engine 11 was flagged down by citizens in the middle of the road advising of a fire on the second floor of a two story single family dwelling. As crews made entry into the home, they confirmed a working fire in an upstairs bedroom. The engine crew stretched a line and started to perform a primary search.

Truck 1 arrived on scene seconds after and went to work opening up and assisting in searches. As interior crews operated, exterior crews from the Truck threw multiple ladders, assisted in ventilation, and secured the utilities. Searches proved negative, the fire went out, and we all went home.
