This weekend members got some hands-on training on how to handle extrication incidents involving Metro Trains. Crews combined with Metro EMA personnel to do exercises lifting train truck assemblies off a patient. Crews also got a walk through of the Greenbelt Metro Yard and did some in-depth training on many of the various passenger cars that Metro uses.

The HVFD would like to thank the members of Metro for putting on this drill, as well as the Berwyn Heights Volunteer Fire Department for loaning us some air bag equipment while Rescue Squad 1 is out of service.
