Today the members of the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department were notified that we'd be the recipients of an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG). This grant will enable Hyattsville to purchase and outfit a new Engine to continue serving the citizens of Hyattsville City and Prince George's County for years to come.

Furthermore, this grant allows us to focus on other capital expenditures that will provide immediate benefit to the department. Special thanks to all, especially the HVFD grant writers, of who made this possible.
