At 1021 hours, Rescue Squad 1 and Ambulance 1 were dispatched for the PIA in the 6800 block of Queens Chapel Road. Chief 1A quickly marked up with a single vehicle MVA with confirmed entrapment, corrected the address to Oliver and Queens Chapel in the 3800 block of Oliver St. and assumed command. PSC upgraded the assignment and dispatched Engine 1, EMS Duty Officer, and the Battalion Chief.

The crew from Rescue Squad 1 arrived on scene shortly after and began the patient extrication. The crew stabilized the vehicle and performed a roof flap to free the trapped and unresponsive patient. Once extricated, the patient was back-boarded and transported by Ambulance 1 to Medstar. Remaining crews from Hyattsville cleaned up and returned to service at 1059 hours.
