The Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department, located just three miles from Washington, D.C., is celebrating 108 years of service to the community. We respond to approximately 4,000 calls annually. More than 60 active members, including 12 live-in members, are complemented by career personnel and staff a two-pumper Engine Company, a Basic Life Support Ambulance, a Heavy Duty Rescue Squad/Metro Support Unit and a 100' Truck Company.
