NOTES:
- Most companies have at least 2 Class A pumpers in service
- Station 22 has several special units including HazMat, Water Rescue
and Cave-In/High Angle
- Station 53 (the old Station 18) houses other specialized units, including Bomb/Hazardous Devices and Hazardous Materials Response
units.
- Station 56 is the Underwater Rescue and Recovery Team, housed at Co.
36, Baden
- 55x units are from the Prince George's County Volunteer Fire/Rescue Association
- 16x units are from Communications
- 56x units are from the Underwater Rescue and Recovery Team
- 57x units are from the Fire Commission
- 60x units are Administrative Personnel (Fire Chief's Office, etc)
- 61x units are from the Office of Public Information -Car 61 is PIO
- 6110-19 are from the Office of Emergency Preparedness
- 62x units are from Apparatus Maintenance
- 63x units are from the Office of Emergency Medical Services
- 64x units are from the Bureau of Support Services
- 65x units are from the Training Academy
- 66x units are from the Special Tactical Unit
- 67x units are from the Hazardous Materials Team -Car 67 is leader
- 1500 units are Investigations and Special Hazards
- 154x units are under the Hazardous Devices team
- Of the 47 fire stations in PG County, only two are completely staff
by career personnel. Most are majority volunteer, with a few with no
career staffing. Career personnel work at every station (Except Co. 4, 8 & 33) during weekday hours of 7-3. PGFD shift work is 1 day on and 3 off.
