A live-in member of the HVFD found himself looking for his bunk one summer night -- the victim of a little practical joke among the firefighters. Careful planning went into moving his bunk, night light and bed stand out onto the roof over the truck bay. Lucky for him, everyone was kind enough to put the bed back before he actually had to go to sleep. |

Our Firefighters and EMTs are dedicated, trained volunteers ready to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But in the doldrums of time between emergency calls and with the hectic, stressful nature of emergency responses, everyone makes time to relieve some of that stress while at the station by playing some basketball, watching TV, working on station projects and once in a great while playing a little fun, yet safe, April Fool's joke.
