At about 2 a.m. on a July morning units from Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Chillum, Chillum-Adelphi and Hyattsville were dispatched for a reported apartment fire at the Park Ritchie high-rise apartment building in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue in Takoma Park. Units had a working fire in Apartment 602. All residents of the building were displaced for several hours. No major injuries were reported. Several residents were taken down aerial ladders. Units were on the scene for over two hours.
