HVFD to Host Volunteer Recruitment Day Sunday, April 10th
For the second straight year, the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department is participating in the statewide volunteer Fire/EMS recruitment event in partnership with the Maryland State Firemen’s Association on Sunday, April 10th from 10am until 2pm at the firehouse. Prospective volunteers can come tour the station, our apparatus, meet other volunteers and learn about the process of joining our department.
Last year the HVFD set a record with 32 new volunteers joining the department, completing the county’s Volunteer Recruit School and starting the process to become a fully trained member of our department. Already this year we’ve welcomed 18 new members to the organization, from local residents fresh to the fire/EMS service to a significant number of new members coming with existing Firefighter, EMT and Paramedic experience.
Want to be part of an incredible team and a new second family? Join us Sunday, April 10th between 10am and 2pm for our annual Recruitment Day.
When: Sunday, April 10, 2016, 10am to 2pm
